Alaskan Surrogacy Resources

Typical Fees

Many people compare the costs of surrogacy to that of adoption expenses. Most couples will have to budget and save but the end result is worth the sacrifices.

Ultimately the compensation is up to the surrogate but the Intended Parent's must also set a budget and stick to it. Somewhere along the line, most IP's and Surrogates find a comfortable fee range and also find the match that is right for them.

Below you will find some of the more common expenses. Occasionally a Surrogate will choose to have an All-Inclusive fee which will eliminate most of the smaller miscellaneous fees.

Also some Surrogates might choose a very low fee or no fee at all and will just have expenses paid for.

The surrogates we represent will choose their own compensation and what fees they want to include in their contract based upon their families needs, such things are Lost Wages and Bedrest Fees will vary.   Both the Intended Parents and Surrogates will have an opportunity to discuss the fees while getting to know each other and also during contract negotiations.

Typically, IP's should budget approximately $60,000 to $120,000 for a Gestational Surrogacy which includes fees and IVF costs.

For a Traditional Surrogacy, costs are typically lower but IP's should still anticipate between $40,000 and $75,000.

Egg Donor

Egg Donors compensation range from $2500 to $7000 depending upon experience and / or desired qualities.

Not included are the costs of the medications needed for the Donor Cycle and the cost of the retrieval.

Alaskan Surrogacy Resources maintains a list of Active and local Egg Donors. Please feel free to browse our DONOR section for prospective donors.

Sperm Donors

Sperm donation might be an option for Single Intended Mothers, Lesbian Couples, or any time the Intended Father has fertility issues. It is not unusual at all to see Donor Sperm utilized in both Gestational and Traditional Surrogacies.

FDA regulations require a 6 month wait on all sperm donations. If you are choosing to use a KNOWN donor, I highly recommend you have some of the sperm placed in a sperm bank as soon as possible.

6 months goes by quickly while you are waiting to be matched with a surrogate and going through contracts.

However, 6 months can seem like a lifetime when you are ready to start "now" and all you are waiting for is clearance that the sperm is out of quarantine.

There are dozens of reputable Sperm banks across the nation.Sperm banks provide sperm that is thoroughly tested for disease free. Most all sperm banks are anonymous donors.

You will find a quick list in our LINKS section

The cost varies and depends upon many factors including I.Q. and Ethnicity.

When you choose a Sperm Bank, typically you can buy one insemination worth for $125 - $350

Another option for Intended Parents would be to look to friends or family members as potential sperm donors.

Alaskan Surrogacy Resources maintains a list of active and local men wishing to become sperm donors. Feel free to browse our DONOR section for prospective donors.
